In 2024, I visited Poland for the first time and had a brilliant time exploring three of the countries cities. Poland is a great pick for those looking for a cheaper break in Europe with good transport links that allow you to see more of the country in one visit. Whilst Krakow is somewhat famed as a destination for group drinking holidays, there is much more on offer in this country. Warsaw has a mixture of modern architecture and the historic old town, Gdansk is a small city with interesting history in the Solidarity movement and Krakow is a great base to visit the nearby Salt Mines and Auschwitz.
