Lake District National Park

The UK’s most visited national park is that for a reason. With stunning peaks and low-level options alongside beautiful Lakes, it contains walking routes to cover any experience level. The Lake District is also home to the highest peak in England, Scafell Pike, along with 213 other Wainwrights to hike. It received National Park status in 1951 and became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017. It’s easy to see how this area provided the inspiration for the likes of William Wordsworth and Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
